MINNEAPOLIS, June 17 (UPI) -- Three of the six babies born 18 weeks prematurely to a Minnesota couple have now died.

The Star Tribune in Minneapolis reported Sunday that the three surviving siblings -- Cadence, Lucia and Sylas -- remained in critical condition at Children's Hospital of Minneapolis.

The hospital said in a statement Saturday that Lincoln Sean died Friday. Siblings Tryg and Bennet died earlier last week. The sextuplets, the children to Ryan and Brianna Morrison of St. Louis Park, were born June 10, weighing 11-19 ounces each.

The couple expressed their thanks for the prayers and support they have received.

"It has been a difficult week for us," their statement said. "We continue to trust in the Lord and are hopeful for a good outcome" for their other children.
