The American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee says Israel repeatedly violated international humanitarian law after it invaded Lebanon last July.
The group wants formal inquiries from the United Nations and the U.S. Congress, The Detroit News reported Sunday.
The 33-day war began after Hezbollah forces attacked Israeli soldiers at the Lebanese-Israeli border and Israel launched a retaliatory attack.
The ADC's newly released report charges the Israeli response was excessive and especially damaged families and children. About 900 Lebanese civilians were killed, thousands injured, and 250,000 left homeless, the report says. About 30,000 homes and 118 factories were destroyed along with 151 roads, 97 bridges and several electric power plants, the report concludes.
