Henry C. Lee risks sterling reputation

LOS ANGELES, June 3 (UPI) -- Famed U.S. celebrity lawyer Henry C. Lee is under the magnifying glass for suspicions he recently hid evidence from prosecutors.

The case in question, the Los Angeles Times reported, is that of Lana Clarkson, a 40-year-old actress found shot to death in 2003 in the home of music producer Phil Spector. Days after Clarkson was found, attorney Robert Shapiro flew Lee out to Spector's mansion, where Lee is alleged to have collected evidence he hid from prosecutors.

If he is found to have concealed evidence, the Times reported, Lee will suffer damage to a sterling reputation. Lee has worked on some of the biggest celebrity cases of the last two decades, including those of O.J. Simpson, Kobe Bryant, Scott Peterson and Chandra Levy. Lee also has been awarded several honorary law degrees and lectures throughout the world.
