GAZA, June 1 (UPI) -- Israeli forces killed two people whom the military said were trying to plant a bomb Friday near by the Gaza Strip border barrier.
The age of the two people was not clear. Palestinian sources told Ynetnews that 8- and 11-year-old children had been killed, while Palestinians told Haaretz that the two were teenagers searching for building materials to sell.
Israeli military sources told Ynetnews that those shot were in a restricted area and didn't follow soldiers' orders to stop.
Also Friday, three Qassam rockets fired from Gaza landed in Israel, damaging some structures. One rocket damaged a Negev kibbutz garage and the other damaged a warehouse at a kibbutz south of Ashkelon, Ynetnews reported.
Haaretz reported that Israeli security forces arrested three Hamas militants suspected of attempting to bomb Israel military forces in Hebron.
