WATAUGA, Texas, May 30 (UPI) -- Two Texas teenagers have been formally charged with giving two toddlers a marijuana cigarette and convincing them to smoke it.
Demetris McCoy, 17, and Vanswan Polty, 18, both of Watauga were being held in the Tarrant County Jail, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported.
Investigators say they found a videotape showing the pair holding a marijuana cigarette for the two children, ages 2 and 4, calling them potheads and asking them if they had the "munchies." McCoy is the children's uncle.
The videotape came to light when police searched the house as part of a burglary investigation.
Tests also showed the children had cocaine in their bodies. Their mother said she was asleep during the pot incident.
A grand jury handed up an indictment Friday. McCoy and Polty also face burglary charges.
