Poles to protest peacefully at G8 summit

WARSAW, Poland, May 30 (UPI) -- Several hundred Polish anti-globalists are set to travel to protest during the G8 summit at the Baltic Sea resort of Heiligendamm in Germany, Polish Radio said.

Representatives of Poland's "alter-globalists" told reporters in Warsaw their protest at the June 6-8 summit will be a peaceful one, the radio reported Wednesday.

Activists of anti-war, ecological, leftist radicals and anarchist organizations are to protest what they described as liberal globalization advocated by the G8 group.
