Politics 2012: Ron Paul strategy keeps things interesting

MIAMI, May 22 (UPI) -- Federal agents intercepted about 300,000 telephone conversations during their years-long investigation of a supposed terror support cell in South Florida.
Prosecutors in the Miami trial for Jose Padilla and his co-defendants contended Thursday the calls will illustrate the suspects were conspiring to raise money for terror groups abroad.
Padilla, along with Adham Amin Hassoun, 45, and Kifah Wael Jayyousi, 44, are charged with providing money, equipment and material support to terror organizations abroad. The 36-year-old Padilla also is charged with being a willing recruit of al-Qaida.
