PRAGUE, Czech Republic, May 14 (UPI) -- Italian Premier Romano Prodi said in Prague Monday that Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi told him he was fine, contrary to reports that he was in a coma.
The Palestinian news agency Maan reported Monday that Gadhafi had a stroke Sunday and was in a coma. But Prodi, on an official visit to the Czech Republic, said Gadhafi called him on the phone Monday and said he was well, ANSA reported.
"I asked him how he was and he answered that he was fine, adding that rumors about the health of powerful people are common," Prodi told ANSA.
