Costa Rica: Russian embassy seige ends

SAN JOSE, Costa Rica, May 11 (UPI) -- An armed man who held hostages at the Russian embassy in Costa Rica Friday has given himself up.

The gunmen reportedly was a Kazakh national living in Costa Rica who had a grievance with the Russian government, the EFE news agency reported.

The man held hostages at the Russian mission for several hours until police were seen escorting him and a hostage out of the building.

No one was hurt in the incident, Russian officials in Costa Rica said.
