NEW PORT RICHEY, Fla., May 8 (UPI) -- A Florida caretaker allegedly gave an 83-year-old woman crack cocaine, then stole her identity and went on a spending spree.
Theresa Stanley-Morgan, 42, was charged with a felony count of criminal use of personal identification and was jailed Sunday on $20,000 bail, the Tampa Tribune reported.
Pasco County sheriff's investigators said Stanley-Morgan gave crack cocaine from a pipe to Shirley Hathaway, 83, who suffers from dementia and memory loss, the newspaper reported. Stanley-Morgan allegedly used Hathaway's identity to obtain a credit card with which she went shopping, the newspaper reported.
Officers said Stanley-Morgan told them about the drug use and identity theft during her interrogation. More charges were possible, the Tribune reported.
