MOSCOW, April 26 (UPI) -- Former U.S. Secretary of State Henry Kissinger will work with a former Russian prime minister on improving U.S.-Russia relations.

Kissinger and former Russian Prime Minister Yevgeny Primakov will co-chair a working group on the future of bilateral relations, RIA Novosti said Thursday.

Russian President Vladimir Putin, who met with the two men Thursday in Moscow, said he supports the initiative.

Novosti said Kissinger has been a frequent guest in Russia since Putin took office in 2000.
