MIAMI, April 15 (UPI) -- Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush -- out of the limelight since leaving office -- traveled to Brazil over the weekend to promote the use of ethanol.
The Miami Herald reported on Bush's trip, his first to the ethanol-rich country of Brazil since December, when he launched a crusade to promote bio-fuel.
Bush -- who drives his own car and moved to a Coral Gables condo in January -- recently joined the speakers' circuit, earning about $50,000 per appearance. He has reportedly been asked by hundreds of civic organizations to be involved in their causes.
But, the Herald reported, the 54-year-old former governor seems to be enjoying his privacy more than anything.
"For the first time in my adult life, I have the chance to pause and do something to make a living and enjoy it," he told students at Jose de Diego Middle School in Miami. "I kind of like just being able to get in my car and go."
