TBILISI, Georgia, April 15 (UPI) -- Two people died and 45 others were hurt Sunday when a bus plunged into a river in the country of Georgia.
The accident happened on the Martvili-Tbilisi highway in western Georgia, the RIA Novosti news agency reported. Excessive speed and brake failure on the Mercedes bus were factors, police said.

The injured, including children, were hospitalized in the city of Kutaisi, about 22 miles from the crash.
