ORLANDO, Fla., April 11 (UPI) -- Florida prosecutors released documents saying a BB gun and knife were among items former astronaut Lisa Nowak had on her mission to confront a romantic rival.

Some 60 pages of evidence amassed by the State Attorney's office show Nowak had carefully planned her meeting with Air Force Capt. Colleen Shipman at the Orlando International Airport early on Feb. 5.

Nowak, 43, had been in a relationship with fellow astronaut Bill Oefelein, but he had begun seeing Shipman, which apparently irritated Nowak, a Navy captain.

The documents released show police retrieved a 2-pound drilling hammer, a BB gun that resembled a handgun, an 8-inch folding knife and latex gloves, the Orlando (Fla.) Sentinel reported. She also allegedly had notes indicating the latitude and longitude of Shipman's home and the time of Shipman's flight arrival from Houston, where Oefelein lives.

Nowak is charged with attempted kidnapping and burglary with an assault, which can be punishable by life in prison. She also was charged with misdemeanor battery for allegedly bashing Shipman's car and using pepper spray on Shipman.
