ROMULUS, Mich., April 2 (UPI) -- Police in Michigan's Wayne County arrested a woman who they allege planned to feature her 7-year-old daughter in pornographic photographs.
Wayne County Sheriff's Office investigators said they arrested the 33-year-old woman and charged her with four felony sex abuse charges after an undercover sting allegedly found that the woman had planned to photograph her daughter having sex with a man, The Detroit Free Press said.
Wayne County Sheriff Warren Evans said the actions of the unidentified woman, who remains in custody, were reprehensible.
"This is the most disgusting and exploitive situation I have ever been involved with in law enforcement in 35 years," Evans told the Free Press.
The girl, and the woman's other four children, have been turned over to Child Protective Services, while her mother awaits trial.
A preliminary court date for the mother, who also faces a misdemeanor prostitution charge, has been scheduled for April 12.
The paper said that if the woman is convicted on the charges she could be sentenced to 20 years in prison.
