MITZPE HILA, Israel, March 30 (UPI) -- Hundreds of Israelis rallied Friday in support of three kidnapped soldiers.

The demonstration took place outside the home of Gilad Shalit, who was abducted last year in Gaza. About 1,500 people participated, YNetNews reported.

Ehud Goldwasser and Eldad Regev were kidnapped by Hezbollah. The abduction was one of the incidents that triggered last year's war with Lebanon.

The protests were held on the eve of Passover.

"I call from here on all the Lebanese families who have fathers and sons jailed in Israel to call on their leaders to bring the sons home," said Goldwasser's wife, Karnit. "I am certain that if both sides, mothers and women in Lebanon and mothers and women in Israel, would pressure their governments together, the boys will return home fast."
