A box labeled 'grenade' found in Florida

FLAGLER BEACH, Fla., March 27 (UPI) -- An ammunition box with "grenade" written on the side was found in Flagler Beach, Fla., and is to be destroyed by bomb technicians.

The discovery the box caused officials to close State Road A1A and evacuate five homes and two businesses Monday night, Florida's Daytona Beach News-Journal reported.

Flagler Beach Fire Chief Martin Roberts said he was notified by police that someone had found the box on the beach.

After the area was secured, the Volusia County Sheriff's Office Bomb Squad was called in and planned to destroy the box at the site, Roberts told the newspaper.
