Officials at St. Paul's Catholic College in the town of Burgess Hill said that since Comic Relief would likely use the funds to support abortion and contraception efforts, they were forbidding students to participate in the group's Red Nose Day, the Daily Telegraph said.

The Catholic Church and Comic Relief had reached an accord in which Comic Relief swore to never use funds from the church to support causes the church strongly opposed.
A Comic Relief spokesman once again reiterated the group's stance regarding the use of Catholic-based funds.
"None of the money we have allocated as grants has ever been used to support abortions," he told the paper.
