JERUSALEM, March 9 (UPI) -- Israeli Infrastructures Minister Binyamin Ben Eliezer canceled a planned trip to Egypt because of warnings Friday that he could be arrested there.

Eliezer was featured in "Ruach Shaked" or "Spirit of Shaked," an Israeli TV documentary about the role of the Shaked Reconnaissance Unit in the Six-Day War, which he commanded. The documentary suggests that the unit was responsible for the killing of 250 Egyptian prisoners of war.

Some Egyptian politicians are pushing for an end to all ties with Israel, including cutting diplomatic relations, The Jerusalem Post reported. Eliezer has also come under attack.

"We demand that the Egyptian court bring these murderers and war criminals to justice on Egyptian soil," Mustafa Bakri, a member of the Egyptian parliament, told the Kol al-Avrav newspaper.
