3 injured in Missouri school bus rollover

ST. LOUIS, Feb. 26 (UPI) -- Three children were injured Monday when a school bus operated by the Northwest R-1 School District rolled down an embankment near House Springs, Mo.

One of the vehicle's tires apparently went over the edge of the road and "the driver was unable to regain control," Missouri Highway Patrol Cpl. Julie Scerine told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

The bus flipped on its side near House Springs Quarry.

The nine students headed to House Springs Elementary School and House Springs Intermediate School suffered scrapes, bumps and bruises. The most serious injuries were broken bones, Scerine said.
