UH-60 Black Hawk downed near Baghdad

BAGHDAD, Feb. 21 (UPI) -- U.S. Army Maj. Gen. William Caldwell said Wednesday small arms fire and rocket-propelled grenades likely downed a U.S. helicopter in Iraq.

The Mujahedin Army claimed responsibility online for downing a UH-60 Black Hawk.

Caldwell said the chopper made a "hard landing" northwest of Baghdad, CNN reported. None of the nine people aboard was injured.

"The indications are now that it was brought down by small-arms fire and RPGs -- rocket-propelled grenades," Caldwell said.
