Canada body-parts murder victim identified
BELGRADE, Serbia, Feb. 15 (UPI) -- Serbia's prime minister warned of dangerous effects if a U.N. plan grants the mainly ethnic-Albanian Kosovo province independence from his country.
Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica Thursday said Belgrade has to warn of far-reaching and dangerous consequences in case Serbia is cut into pieces, the Serbian news agency Beta reported.
Addressing a rally marking Serbia's statehood day at Orasac, Kostunica said, "If somebody dares to snatch from Serbia its territory, then it should take into account it takes over all responsibility for this violent act."
Late Wednesday in Belgrade, Serbia's newly convened parliament adopted a resolution rejecting a U.N. draft plan on Kosovo's future status that may lead the province to independence from Serbia.
A new round of U.N.-led talks between delegations of the Serbian government and leaders of Kosovo ethnic-Albanians is scheduled for Wednesday in Vienna.
