Slain couple may have been in wrong place

DALLAS, Feb. 9 (UPI) -- Investigators in Dallas say a young couple found dead almost a month after they were kidnapped may have been unlucky in their choice of auto mechanic.

The bodies of Luis Campos and Linoshka Torres were found a few days ago. They disappeared Jan. 6 when they went to pick up a car from Francisco Iniguez.

Police say a suspected high-level drug dealer, Nicolas Monarrez, also knew Iniguez and may have thought he was involved in a theft of $40,000 in cash and drugs last year, WFAA-TV reported. Police said they believe Iniguez and his son, who gave vague descriptions of the kidnappers, may have withheld information.

Iniguez said he and his son told everything they knew.

"My son told police already," said Francisco Iniguez when asked why he and his son didn't tell police about Monarrez when the couple disappeared. "He told them everything. My son saw a car and he is not guilty of anything."
