DAVOS, Switzerland, Jan. 26 (UPI) -- Poor countries need to stop "crying poor" and do more to better themselves, Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva said Friday in Switzerland.
"I have told many leaders in Latin America that we need to stop traveling the world crying about poverty ... the responsibility is ours," said Da Silva during the World Economic Forum in Davos.
In past years, the Brazilian leader has used the annual forum to promote global poverty and hunger eradication.
