MOSCOW, Jan. 17 (UPI) -- Two activists in bright yellow bikinis protested a Moscow Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant over what they said was inhumane treatment of chickens.
With more than 850 million chickens killed annually to supply worldwide KFC restaurants, the bikini-clad protesters and eight cohorts acted out Tuesday against what they said is animal cruelty, the Moscow News reported.
"You don't even have to be a vegetarian to realize that KFC suppliers' approach is cruel," said activist Inessa Samkova.
The eye-catching protest in Moscow was the most recent against the popular fast food chain. Previously, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals and Russia's Alliance for the Protection of Animals accused KFC of housing chickens in horrible conditions.
