GRANTS PASS, Ore., Dec. 6 (UPI) -- The body of the missing CNET editor James Kim was located in a wooded area, authorities in Oregon said.

Arrangements were being made to transport Kim to an undisclosed location, police, CNET.com said. Kim was been missing in the rugged southwestern Oregon wilderness for 11 days.

Kim was last seen Saturday leaving to search for help for his family stranded in their car. Other family members, returning to their San Francisco home, were rescued Monday after having disappeared during Thanksgiving weekend.

On Tuesday searchers found pants they thought belonged to Kim. The pants, which authorities said match a description of the pants he wore, were found on a steep slope in an area surrounded by footprints, the Salem (Ore.) News said.

Searchers concentrated on an area about 30 miles west of Grants Pass, Ore., focusing on a canyon about 5 miles from where the car was found, the Josephine County, Ore., Sheriff's Office told the News. Technical search crews and specially equipped helicopters are assisting in the ground search.

Kati Kim and her daughters left an area hospital Tuesday, authorities said, and were at an undisclosed location.
