Four Air Canada flight attendants injured

TOKYO, Nov. 19 (UPI) -- Four flight attendants were injured Sunday when an Air Canada Boeing 767 jet encountered turbulence and made an emergency landing at Tokyo's Narita Airport.

None of the 186 passengers aboard Flight 38, en route to Vancouver, British Columbia, from Shanghai, China, was injured, Air Canada said in a statement.

The flight attendants, all Canadian citizens, were taken to a hospital. The airline did not release details of their injuries. Tokyo police said the attendants mainly suffered minor scratches and bruises.

Another flight crew boarded the plane, which left for Vancouver later Sunday night.
