Report: Internet helps to breed terrorists

NEW YORK, Nov. 12 (UPI) -- With increasing online postings of bomb-making instructions and anti-American propaganda, the Internet has become a veritable breeding ground for terrorism.

Officials across the United States have confirmed that their fight against terrorism has now spread into the online community as more sensitive information is leaked online, The New York Daily News said.

"Cyberspace reconfigures the world ... a lot of obstacles to an individual becoming radicalized have been subtracted from the equation," New York Police Department official Samuel Rascoff said of the trend. "In nearly every instance in which we observe radicalization to be going on, the Internet has played a strong role. Our concern is with the process of radicalization that may culminate in an attempted or successful attack."

The official declarations come after the recent online posting of "The Myth of Delusion," a 150-page document posted by a noted jihadist that contained detailed information about U.S. intelligence agencies, said the News.
