BEIT HANOUN, Gaza, Nov. 5 (UPI) -- Palestinian officials say Israeli troops have killed a senior Palestinian police officer and two others in Gaza's Beit Hanoun.
Meanwhile, Israeli officials reported four rockets fired from northern Gaza struck the Israeli town of Sderot, causing one person to go into shock, the Jerusalem Post said. In addition to the rocket attack, officials said Palestinians threw stones at a car carrying Israeli passengers, who escaped unharmed.
Officials also reported no injuries or damage from two anti-tank missiles fired at Israeli forces elsewhere in Gaza, the Post said.
On Saturday, Palestinian terrorist groups threatened suicide attacks against Israel if the military operations in northern Gaza did not end within 48 hours, the Post said.
The latest violence came as Israel's Operation Autumn Clouds entered its fifth day Sunday. Israeli Defense Minister Amir Peretz said it would continue until terrorists' rocket-launching capabilities were destroyed, the Post said.
Even if launching capabilities are not eliminated, Deputy Defense Minister Ephraim Sneh said Israeli forces must attack Hamas strongholds and operatives, the Post said.
Since the operation began, 47 Palestinians have been killed and more than 200 injured.
