Prodigy, 21, about to become doctor
BEIJING, Oct. 22 (UPI) -- Former Chinese president Jiang Zemin visited a military museum in Beijing to mark the 70th anniversary of the Long March.
Xinhua news agency said Jiang's Saturday visit to the Military Museum of the Chinese People's Revolution acknowledged the significance of the Long March to the victory of the revolution.
The exhibition includes 580 pictures, 180 publications, 52 graphs and three large-scale scenes of the Red Army's victory in the Long March.
The Long March was a carried out from 1934 to 1936 by the Workers' and Peasants' Red Army led by Mao Zedong, fleeing from nationalists.
"We should never forget the meritorious service of the revolutionaries of the older generation and vigorously carry on the spirit of the Long March," Jiang said.
