Bus crash in China kills 30

CHONGQING CITY, China, Oct. 1 (UPI) -- A bus crashed through a guardrail and plunged into a riverbank in Chongqing City, China Sunday, killing at least 30 people including the driver.

Twenty others were injured, the official Xinhua news agency reported.

The commuter bus was approaching the onramp to a bridge connecting two areas of Chongqing City when the accident occurred, Xinhua said.

An injured passenger said the bus was too crowded because it had picked up passengers from another bus that had broken down, Xinhua said.
