MADRID, Sept. 26 (UPI) -- Spain's royal family is expecting a new addition come May, the second child for Crown Prince Felipe and Princess Letizia.

The couple felt "great happiness upon announcing that they are expecting the birth of their second child at the beginning of next May," read a royal announcement, reported Tuesday by the EFE news agency.

News of a new additional to Spain's regal clan restarted talk about a proposed reform to Spain's constitution, which would allow women in the royal family an equal right to succession to the crown.
