ISLAMABAD, Pakistan, Sept. 15 (UPI) -- A Pakistani journalist was killed by masked gunmen in the northwest part of the country and police were looking for two suspects.

The victim was identified as Maqbool Hussain Siyal, who was killed in a drive-by shooting in the town of Dera Ismail Khan late Thursday, reports the BBC. Police said the gunmen were riding a motorcycle but had not established a motive.

Family members said the victim had no feud with anyone in the area, the report said.

Siyal had worked for an Urdu-language newspaper and a news agency, police said.

Dera Ismail Khan is about 175 miles southwest of Pakistan's capital Islamabad.
