Canada body-parts murder victim identified

LEXINGTON, Ky., Sept. 6 (UPI) -- The first officer who was the only survivor of last week's plane crash in Kentucky has made enough progress to be removed from a ventilator.
James Polehinke of Margate, Fla., is still in the intensive care unit at the University of Kentucky Medical Center, the Cincinnati Enquirer reported. Hospital spokesman Jay Blanton said that Polehinke remains in serious condition.
Polehinke suffered a series of fractures from his face to his feet, including a complex fracture of his pelvis, and a collapsed lung in the crash on Aug. 27. The plane, a Comair commuter jet, crashed shortly after takeoff from Blue Grass Airport in Lexington, killing the other 49 people aboard.
