LONDON, Aug. 26 (UPI) -- British Prime Minister Tony Blair's eldest son, Euan, is reported out of a hospital in Barbados where he was taken due to acute stomach distress.
The Times of London reported Saturday that Cherie Blair delayed her return to Britain to be near her ailing 22-year-old son at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital near Bridgetown. Euan apparently fell ill on Thursday just hours before the Blair family was to have returned after a three-week Caribbean vacation.
Doctors at first believed the young Blair might need exploratory surgery, but he rallied and was discharged from the hospital Friday evening.
The prime minister had already left the island, The Times, said, and was back in London when his son was admitted to the hospital Thursday evening.
