LONDON, Aug. 20 (UPI) -- A 2-year-old girl whose father tossed her 6-year-old brother off a Crete hotel balcony, killing the boy, and then jumped with her is back in England.

Briton John Hogan was arrested on murder and attempted murder charges for the death of his son, Liam, and the broken arm suffered by his daughter, Mia, in the 50-foot fall Tuesday.

The long-troubled marriage of the battling Hogans broke down again during their stay on Crete, The Independent reported Sunday. Apparently fueled by alcohol, Hogan allegedly threw Liam off the balcony and then grabbed the little girl and jumped.

Hogan, who suffered a broken arm, leg and chest injuries, came to in a hospital saying, "I want to die; I want to die," the newspaper said.

Arrangements were being made to take Liam's body back to the family's hometown of Stoke Bradley, England.

When he is sufficiently recovered, Hogan will face murder and attempted murder charges in Greece where he was under armed guard in the hospital.

His wife, Natasha, 34, has returned home with Mia, the newspaper said.
