He told ABC News that while he doesn't feel his age, he's been reflective on the fact that he has now lived longer than his father, stepfather and grandfather.

Joining the ranks of President Bush, Cher, Donald Trump, Sylvester Stallone and Reggie Jackson, who have all hit 60 this year, Clinton says he feel lucky to have survived his earlier heart problems.

"I feel very grateful," Clinton told ABC. "I could have died from my heart problems, and I didn't. I got another chance at life, and whatever happens now, every day is a little extra gift."

Further reflecting on his age status, he added: "It's funny, you know, I've spent most of my life being the youngest person doing whatever I was doing. And one day, I woke up and I was the oldest person in the room."

The former president plans to celebrate the first of a couple of months' of parties, ending with a special concert by the aging Rolling Stones where again Clinton can be perhaps the youngest person in the room.
