Gitmo inmates abuse guards

WASHINGTON, Aug. 3 (UPI) -- Disciplinary reports from the detention center at Guantanamo in Cuba show a history of inmates throwing feces and urine at guards.

The documents were given to the Web site thesmokinggun.com by the conservative Landmark Legal Foundation, which obtained them through the Freedom of Information Act. The Web site posted 18 of what it says are 400 disciplinary reports from December 2002 to the middle of 2005.

In one incident, a prisoner told a female guard that if she was "Rambo, Jean Claude Van Dan, or a man," she would be in Iraq. She reported that the inmate scratched and spit at her.

Inmates in other incidents allegedly tried to assault guards through the slots in their cell doors used to pass trays of food to them.

In some cases, guards had to be decontaminated after feces were flung at them.
