Missing teen found dead in Ecuador river

QUITO, Ecuador, Aug. 1 (UPI) -- The body of a missing British teenager was discovered in a river in Ecuador, El Commercio newspaper reported Tuesday.

Aaron Goss, 17, went missing last week during a three-week excursion with other students.

Initial reports said Goss may have been attacked by piranhas while swimming in a river with classmates near the Shangri-La resort.

An autopsy was scheduled for Tuesday.
