HIALEAH, Fla., July 31 (UPI) -- Investigators say an autopsy will show whether a fetus found at a Hialeah, Fla., abortion clinic was born dead or alive.
The Miami Herald said the fetus is believed to be belong to an 18-year-old woman who told police she gave birth while waiting to see a doctor at the clinic. She said she was 23 weeks pregnant.
Police have ordered A Gyn Diagnostic Center closed in connection with a possible homicide, the newspaper said.
State records show that the Miami-area clinic is part of a group of abortion clinics owned and operated by the same people.
One clinic in Miramar has a history of violations and was closed last year after three employees were charged with practicing medicine without a license, the newspaper said.
