School bus driver charged with kid porn

NEWARK, N.J., July 27 (UPI) -- A New Jersey school bus driver has been charged with setting up a Web site that served as a headquarters for pedophiles lusting after prepubescent girls.

Russell Christie III of Green Township was one of 22 people arrested in a series of FBI raids in 20 states, the Star-Ledger of Newark, N.J., reported. The raids were part of an international investigation called "Project Safe Childhood."

Christie was arraigned in federal court in Newark.

The Web site, www.namgla.net for North American Man-Girl Love Association, allowed users to share child pornography and included message boards and links to other sites.

Christie lived with his mother, who operates the Green Valley Beach Campgrounds in northwestern New Jersey.

Dan Conkling, a longtime neighbor, described Christie as quiet.

"He farms his property, he cuts hay, he drives a school bus, he works in the campground -- I don't know what else to say. There's nothing extraordinary about him," Conkling told the Star-Ledger.
