Brazil: Red Baron heir gets 39 years

SAO PAULO, July 23 (UPI) -- An heir of the famed World War I flying ace known as the Red Baron was sentenced in Brazil to 39 years in prison for her role in her parents' murder.

Suzane von Richtofen was found guilty in a Sao Paulo court of orchestrating the deaths of her mother and father, who was the great nephew of German pilot Baron von Richtofen, Folha de Sao Paulo reported Sunday.

Suzane was convicted of convincing her boyfriend and his brother of beating her parents to death in 2002. Both men were sentenced to 40 years for the crime.
