Loose bolts close Boston's Williams tunnel

BOSTON, July 21 (UPI) -- Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney temporarily closed Boston's eastbound Ted Williams Tunnel because of two loose ceiling bolts.

The tunnel is a main route for bus traffic to Logan International Airport. Romney said emergency repairs were needed, the Boston Globe reported.

Turnpike Authority inspectors spotted the loose bolts last week, but it was not considered a safety threat until Thursday, when conditions worsened.
