JERUSALEM, July 9 (UPI) -- Israel's president is not commenting on an alleged blackmail attempt by a former employee who charges he sexually harassed her.

President Moshe Katsav would not say if the unidentified women was trying to extort money from him, the Ha'aretz newspaper reported Sunday.

Ha'aretz also reported that another woman may also file a complaint of sexual harassment against the president. The identity of the neither woman has been revealed.

Israel's attorney general told a Knesset committee Saturday that he and Katsav discussed whether to file a complaint against the first woman.

The attorney general said he was waiting for the president's office to provide him with more information on the alleged blackmail before making a decision, Ha'aretz said.

The woman is reported to be a Jerusalem resident in her 30s who worked as a secretary for Katsav at the president's residence. She resigned from her job about a year ago.

Her lawyer said he had no comment.
