Husband kills wife, self in hospital

KILLEEN, Texas, July 6 (UPI) -- An 84-year-old man visiting his wife at a Killeen, Texas, hospital shot her in the head and then took his own life, police said.

Loyd Tullos was routinely visiting his wife, Bonnie, who was being treated for a heart attack, when he pulled a gun and started shooting, Killeen police affairs officer Carroll Smith told the Killeen Daily Herald.

Police had no motive in the shootings.

Hospital personnel told the newspaper that Bonnie Tullos, 82, was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit of the Metroplex Hospital on Sunday after a minor heart attack.
