ST. PETERSBURG, Russia, June 25 (UPI) -- The leader of Russia's beleaguered navy has said that all Russian naval school graduates will soon be in the country's employ.
Navy Commander-in-Chief Admiral Vladimir Masorin announced the news during a graduation ceremony at Nikolai Kuznetsov Naval Engineering Institute and Naval Academy in St. Petersburg on Saturday, the Itar-Tass reported.
"Our Navy has seen better times, but you will see it in its heyday," Masorin told the graduating class.
Over 300 of the academy's graduates were promptly given the rank of lieutenant in the Russian navy as their new commander told them of what lays ahead for them all.
"You will have to master new ships, I am confident of that, and we have everything we need for that," Masorin added.
