Alleged Marine anti-Muslim video condemned

WASHINGTON, June 14 (UPI) -- A U.S. Muslim group wants an investigation -- and punishment -- in the case of a video in which a U.S. Marine allegedly sang of killing Iraqis.

The four-minute video features someone who appears to be a Marine singing about killing Iraqis and using racist references to Muslims.

The video was taken down from the Web site after the Council on American-Islamic Relations complained.

The Marine Corps issued a statement calling the video "inappropriate and contrary to the high standards expected of all Marines."

CAIR Executive Director Nihad Awad called for an investigation into the video and punishment for those involved in making it. He also called on Congress to conduct hearings into anti-Muslim incidents by U.S. troops.
