Bosnia court jails 3 Serbs for war crimes

BANJA LUKA, Bosnia-Herzegovina, May 31 (UPI) -- Bosnia's district court has upheld prison sentences set for three ethnic Serbs convicted of war crimes committed at a concentration camp.

Three Bosnian Serb guards in the Manjaca concentration camp, west of Banja Luka, received sentences ranging from 10 to 14 years for torturing and maltreating non-Serb inmates in 1992, the Belgrade Beta news agency reported.

They were found guilty of killing two Bosnian Muslims in the Manjaca camp, held by Bosnian Serb forces during ethnic wars in the former Yugoslavia.

Defense attorneys said they will appeal the sentences.
