Russian airspace will be closed for G8

ST. PETERSBURG, Russia, May 30 (UPI) -- Russia will close the airspace over St. Petersburg during the Group of Eight summit in July, reports Interfax.

The G8 summit set for July 15 through July 17 will host leaders from the United States, Britain, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Canada and Russia.

St. Petersburg's Pulkovo airport "will be used only for the arrival and departure of special charter flights for the leaders of the delegations taking part in the summit," an announcement said.
