BAGHDAD, May 29 (UPI) -- Two British journalists working for CBS News in Baghdad were killed Monday in a roadside bomb attack that seriously injured a correspondent.
Cameraman Paul Douglas,48, and soundman James Brolan, 42, were killed, as well as a U.S. soldier and an Iraqi interpreter, the BBC reported.
Correspondent Kimberly Dozier, 39, was in critical condition at a U.S. military hospital, but doctors are cautiously optimistic about her prognosis, CBS said in a statement.
The three were on patrol with the 4th Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division when the unit was hit by an improvised explosive device, the network said.
Earlier this year, ABC News anchor Bob Woodruff and cameraman Doug Vogt were seriously wounded when the U.S.-Iraqi military convoy in which they were embedded was hit by a roadside bomb north of Baghdad.
